Reasons for Being A Nicfan
When: I first knew Nic when I was 7 years old. It was the year that two of his movies became blockbusters and received many great reviews; in fact, they are Con Air and Face/Off. I did not see those two at that time because it was difficult for a non-native-speaker child to appreciate films in English. However, after watching the trailer of Face/Off, I had a liking for Nic--- just because I thought he was handsome!
Why: Honestly, I rarely go to the movies or rent DVDs until the end of last year. I know it seems weird, for that means I did not finish or even never saw any of Nics films! Actually, my first complete one was National Treasure, and I watched it on TV because I would like to see National Treasure 2 in theater. Then, I started to rent DVDs of his movies. The more films I watch, the more I know I love this man as an actor; or, I can say I fall in love with him again from another perspective, which is totally different from the one I had in my childhood. Nics really talented: he can act in entertaining films such as National Treasure series, or the ones with serious themes, like 8MM & The Weather Man. They were all great, indeed; however, I love his acting most when he plays conflicting roles, which is also hes been excellent at. The Family Man and Face/Off are my favorites; although the ways they represent diverse from each other (comedy vs. action film), they have the same main idea, IMHO--- the bond between people and their families (Jacks and Seans). I think Nic precisely portray how the characters feelings change or conflict by using proper expression, and thats why I love him now.
How: I think Ive mentioned it above fully, so Ill count the ways how I love him, LOL!
One, check his news online or by reading newspaper frequently.
Two, if there is any pic of Nic, Ill try to collect all of them as possible!
Three, whenever I know the movies starring Nic are about to release, Ill spare no effort promoting them to all the people I know.
Four, respect his family members although Im jealous of them, LOL!
Five, write neutral comments about his films.
Last but not the least, join a wonderful fan club such as Cagefactor!!
And now please accept these tokens from the hands of a cyber Nic... the real thing is busy in Austria right now, shooting Witch... otherwise he might have come here in person to congratulate you too...
