Here´s an article in German and a rough and hurried translation into English:

Movie star shows up in Ausseerland

"Yes, he is here." The announcement was makde with these words by the spokesman for the film production company, currently at Styria for the filming of "Season of the Witch". Nicolas Cage arrived on Thursday to the first red-white-red kit. It is expected that the Hollywood star will stay in Ausseerland until Saturday to play his scenes. However, details about the stay of the Oscar winner at the Castle Hotel in Irdning Pichlarn Lodging have not been disclosed.

Egon Hierzegger, managing director of the Mountain, is pleased with the great interest in the location around the 1,838-meter-high mount Loser, when the film crew are staying. The English pronunciation of the name of the mountain as "Mount Loser" (loser-mountain) has provided a lot of amusement. The production manager and the crew were fascinated by the warm autumn weather.

He observed the activity around the shooting: "On Wednesday, a 1,500 kilo medieval coach was delivered by helicopter to Augstsee at more than 1,600 meters above sea level." 15 trailers have been provided for dressing and make up of the actors on the set(see photo). Among other things, three extra stone tombs have been built on the set. "We intend to let it stand as an attraction even after the shooting," observed the manager interested in the what the future holds for the area.

Already on Saturday, the tents at the house of the mountain Ausseerland will be dismantled again. It´s been reported that the crew will then carry the shooting to other locations in Austria.

Star already been "undercover" on the spot

Enrico Jakob, Secretary of the Film Society Cinestyria "was reported in advance that the crew were around" Only after 60 seconds "director Dominic Sena was looking for a hill when they arrived to the incredibly picturesque 'Mount Loser' and the Styrian Madl". Cage had also been "undercover" on the spot to learn where the location and the hotel should be.

Cage rescues girls from burning witches

"Season of the Witch", a thriller in which the Hollywood star will slip into a knight's armor. As the film newspaper "Variety" reports, Cage takes the lead role in the horror-fantasy costume drama, which is set in the 14th Century. Cage as a knight receives the task to accompany a witch, blamed whish is blamed for the outbreak of the plague, to a monastery.

The 1,837 meter high mount is considered the highest mountain of Styria Ausseerland, belongs to the Dead Mountains and impresses with its imposing appearance in the form of a crown. It was named the Table Mountain in the Middle Ages, because it climbed to the summit, in order to "Ennstal" to "free" (dialect for "listen") people from hearing the above level noises.
