Hollywood star Nicolas Cage, 44, will come to Styria next week to shoot some scenes for "Season of the Witch", a thriller set in the 14th century that will feature Cage wearing a suit of armour.

Cage, the nephew of Director Francis Ford Coppola, will check in at Schlosshotel Pichlarn in Irdning, located in the Ausseerland region.

The exact time that Oscar-winner Cage will spend in Austria is top secret, but local officials have confirmed they expect the film crew to arrive with 80 vehicles.

Enrico Jakob, head of Styrian film company "Cinestyria", said: "Director Dominic Sena's crew has been looking for a mountain that 'looks cool.'"

Sena, who worked with Cage on the 1999 blockbuster "Gone in Sixty Seconds", decided to shoot on 1,837-metre-high Loser mountain, the most-prominent landmark in the Ausseerland region. Locals refer to the mountain as the "Ausseer Ohrwaschl" ("Aussee Ear") due to Loser's distinctive shape.
