I do consider myself very lucky to live here Yes, mara, it IS in the Cotswolds.
Thanks for the link, Gwen. Midford Castle looks just as lovely on the inside and I agree, Lula, looking at those pics really gets the imagination going!!
It is a stunning castle, I feel like I'm travelling through time looking at the photo..my mind is filled with mythical tales of legend and folklore...it must be just so amazing to feel the energy there!
Raven you are such a lucky lady living in such a beautiful and magical part of england!

Raven, you´re so fortunate to live in such a beautiful area... Wonderful scenery and quaint villages.... Is it the Costwolds, by any chance? I visited once, those villages were among the most gorgeous spots I´ve ever been in... I remember Broadway, Bourton and Chipping Campdem (sic?) ... I used to spend summers in the West Midlands when I was in High School. Ah, those were the times...
Hmm... such a merry women´s banter they must have going on at all times.... but if you´re packing your suitcase already don´t forget to put on your petticoat, dear.... It´s a bit old fashioned up there!
Yeah that´s the flask I´m carrying at all times in case a swarm of bees shows up, lol.... It´s an import from Summersisle.... Heard of the place? They say it´s a beautiful spot but... got to be a woman to survive the trip up there wih your tongue intact, lol.
Gawd....................how exquisitely beautiful.....both the little village and the stately castle. BTW.....there really is something very different about Nic's castle. It seriously has........style!
Can't everyone just picture the Lord and Lady of the castle, taking their hoard of wee ones for a stroll into the surrounding countryside and perhaps picknicking by a stream? If you shut your eyes, you can just about hear the babbling of the brook, the screech of birds and the laughter of a happy family.

Found this picture of Castle Combe, a neighboring village to Midford Castle (I think that´s what the poster is acutally alluding to)... Beautiful, peaceful retreat...
