I may have to read a bunch of reviews on Nic flicks cuz it's kinda my job as a moderator to do so.....but I rarely ever personally choose a movie to see based on critics reviews.

Art is always in the eye of the beholder.....so I like to leave an open mind about flicks....Nic's or otherwise....

Reviews for this film have been appalling... one critic even said that the movie was "a whole lot of nothing". IMO he got the point! Joe´s life has come to nothing. And the movie depicts that... virtually no action, appart from the fact that some guys are killed in a gorish way and he discovers he´s falling in love and doesn´t know how to deal with that... until he takes a decission I won´t spoil here. Nothing happens, and a great deal happens. It´s in the eyes of the beholder, I guess.

Sometimes the plot of a movie doesn´t move along the way we are used to. Some movies are plotless and their characters show little arch. But they tell interesting stories all the same (Leaving Las Vegas, anyone? LOL).
