Well Marta, the tattoos on his shoulders are not exactly new. He is sporting them since maybe 2004? Anyone remembers any better than me...?

Oh that makes sense then. To use make-up for his films in case the tatoos are not right for his characters. I agree then to do that. His tatoos are fine but I personal don't care for them that's all.

For movies they just digitally erase Nic's tatoos and/or use makeup.....to cover them up if they are not appropriate to a character.

I'm wondering if he got rid of his tatoos because of his latest film photos he seen with no sleeve tee shirts and short sleeve tees on without his art work on him. So maybe his wife didn't like it after all? I myself don't care for too many or any tatoos at all. Sorry, to say. I like Nick to be just like he is without messing up his gorgeous body with the tatoos.

Nic's tatts are great aren't they? Such fantastic artwork.
That is one of those pics I have difficulty taking my eyes away from...and it's not just the tatts!

The caduceus, the symbol he has worn on a necklace and you say is tattooed near his collar bone Anchoragebabe, has a plethora of meanings...to me it is a yoga thing and represents the intertwining of two energy channels called ida and pingala that rise up around the energetic spine called the sushumna which symbolizes the process of enlightenment, or kundalini rising, or raising the dragon..and many other names! (kundalini is depicted as a snake coiled around the base of the spine rising up towards the brow in enlightenment, and the two side channels are intertwining across it). It also to me represents the coming together of earth and cosmic within the human being, and connects earthly life to the spiritual.
It is also an alchemical symbol. It would be interesting to know what it means to Nic!

Thanks. I appreciate the pic. Sadly, I still cant make out the cross and flowers very well. I guess only the lucky and few get to be that up close and personal to Nic to be able to see his tattoos! ;)

I saw the left bicep which has some sort of large cat(a lynx or tiger?). Above the cat but next to the cross on his collar bone is the medical symbol I saw. (He was wearing a tank top when I met him)
I also read somewhere that he has one on his butt but I don't know if that's true. Never seen it! Here's a great pic of the cross with the flowers on his collar bone. He looks so hot walkin around with those low rider jeans and all buff!

Well, when I met him he wasn't married, and he didn't have all the tatts he has now. I would have loved seeing the ghost rider one up close!

Well, if that's true then I'm sure his wife wouldnt be all to happy with his choice of body art. Not unless he tatooed a Rose of Sharon over his heart for her.

I saw his tatts up close when I met him. They're so cool! I even saw one similar to the necklace he wears with that medical symbol on it (it was very tiny). He must have a "thing" for nurses or something medical, especially after seeing Bangkok Dangerous this afternoon and those dancing nurses at the club! WOW!

Nic has several tatoos. If you look back into the 'Nic Pics' thread you might find some pictures of them. I know he has a lion, a flaming skull and a lizard in a top hat tatooed on his body but I think he has a few more as well.
