BTW...........I really would have liked to have unloaded Karma in this lifetime, not been saddled with more.....LOL!

BTW.....I think if you were to read back into the threads you would be able to find my posts about having several near-miss meetings with Nic. No joke!
There was the time I mentioned above where he had to have walked right behind me and then stood in front of my car at the Mondrian.
There was the time I was in LA for the second Nicfest and the girls and I were about to drive past his house and he pulled right in front of our car to turn into his gate. As I looked over my right shoulder, he looked over his left straight at me.....(btw I was wearing a top very similar to the sky blue shirt he wore at Woo's ceremony) and then we drove away (we'd NEVER bother the man in his personal time).
Then at the Windtalker Premiere, the Nicsters were standing front center at the rope and he runs DIRECTLY across the street towards us and then all of a sudden just as he gets to us he does this funny veer off to the side to sign autographs (and didn't stop by us at all).
Then, at the Jay Leno show, he waves directly at our little group sitting dead center of him, three rows back. Connie, one of the girls there had met him years ago and swears he was wearing at her.
Then, to top it off, there was the time in my own city where I'm downtown with my family late one night and we decide to go up to the top of the John Han**** building to see Chicago lit up. It was closing time and an employee comes up to us and asks us if we would like to go down in the service elevator cuz the line to go down was long. We said yes, climb aboard and he thens relates to us that just the other night at the same time of the evening he brought Nic Cage down in the same elevator!
I think there is one near-meeting I'm forgetting about.....but now you can see why I can kinda relate to the movie Serendipity only that movie ended nicely.
It's like we were supposed to meet but that the Cosmos decided to have some sort of nasty fun instead....
So.....I do apologize if sometimes I sound a bit jaded. I don't mean to.....but disappointment kinda does that to you.
OOOppps......True confession time, eh? Mea Culpa!

Dear Bonnie, I think the Universe owes you for that affront, having put you in front of DA MAN and not having let you even have a little talk! You have a pending karma that has to be resolved by some future planet conjuction.... Signed: the hopeful Witch of the Mediterranean, LOL!
Omg...#3 made my tummy do a flip flop I swear in that picture he looks exactly like my ex!!
Triple B, I didn't know about your close encounter with Nic! How tormenting for you! I guess at least you saw him up close, for real. I'm not sure which would be more of a torment though, your experience or having met him... ! It would certainly knock me for six! I'm a great believes in things happening for a reason and like you in synchronicity..so maybe this was meant to happen...maybe to give you an impetus for something? I dunno.

Hey Raven! I'm not absolutely positive now cuz it's been so long ago, but I think that was the shirt he was wearing the night he stood in front of my car at the Mondrian Hotel in LA.
As my girlfriend Debi and I were trying to figure out our seatbelts and stuff at 2am in the dark, after having only been in the car one other time, she looks up and says how she really likes that guys shirt at the very exact moment I'm thinking to myself "who's the skinny guy standing in front of my car?".
It was about then that I realized it was Nic standing there fiddling with his cell phone (or something like that).
By the time I could figure out how to undo my seat belt and open my car door, he'd walked to his car and got in.
It's the story of the way my life goes........The one and only time I really could have had a chance to meet eye to eye with him and I'm held prisoner in my car.
I'll remember that moment till the day I die.
