Come on dude. I am fan but not a fanatic, and I remember your early day roles, like Fast Times or Rumble Fish. I see how much your have grown as an actor. Hell, you have improved 1000 fold to become one of the big screen's most notable icons in the 21st century. I understand it is hard to be "normal", having to deal with the struggles of fame. But come on, retiring, is a bit much. What else are you going to do? That is like a doctor saying, "I'm leaving medicine, because of too many successful surgeries." Man, you give entertainment and joy to people for nearly two hours every time they watch one of your movies. Most, I admit are a little over the top, but as far as entertainment goes, they are superb. You have a skill that you have honed and tested for three decades now. Come step in my shoes, trying to run a family business nearly 100 yrs old, and maintain a sense of self. (That would be a reality show for you!!). I guarantee you will gladly take a movie role instead. Keep your head-up, and remember- acting is your destiny. Just joined this site to drop my two-cents on a Yahoo article, hope you dont mind.
