In the occasion of the 31st Cairo International Film Festival, and for the third consecutive year Alsumaria TV saved itself a remarkable position among the celebrities to cover the annual event day by day via live reports from Cairo. Alsumaria will be notably present during the Festival, shedding the lights on interesting conferences, breathtaking events, exciting contests, and nominated films and actors. Alsumaria reporter, renowned anchor Maha Salma, will meet notorious figures and interview luminary names shining in the history of cinema rallied from all over the world to celebrate this bewildering event.
Cairo Film Festival will host international top names from America, Britain and France such as Nicolas Cage, John Malkovich, Sophia Loren, Claudia Cardinale, Elizabeth Taylor, Shashi Kapoor, Alain Delon, as well as great directors like Robert Wise, Elia Kazan, Oliver Stone, Roland Joffé, Carlos Saura, Ismail Merchant and Michelangelo Antonioni.
The 31st edition of the CIFF is dedicated to the soul of the late Egyptian comedian "Naguib El Rihany"
The celebrations start this year with the opening night on November 27th until December 7th with a dazzling closing ceremony and distribution of awards both in the presence of our Honorary President international superstar Omar Sharif.
