The Huge Beetle experience sounds funny!!!  That would be cool to go to a NicFest in L.A. sometime.  Let me know......l will scrape together some money and go......leave the kids at home with my husband....ha ha.  I would LOVE to meet Nic someday!!!

Hi Jen!   Years ago Nic was said to really, really, really be into bugs.  Well....those and reptiles and octupi and aquariums.....apparently he's a 'natural' kind of guy.......

And since we've been talking about 'bugs'.....here's a Nic related story I should tell...

Years ago, on the now defunct Toncas site, about 15-18 Nicfans decided to meet together in LA for a weekend Nicfest.  Ladies traveled in from all over, including from Germany and England.  Anyhoo.....one  night we had tickets for the Jay Leno show (no, Nic wasn't appearing that night but it was something for the ladies to do) so we all hopped in several different cars and off we drove.......clear across LA on the expressways and into Burbank, CA. 

I was one of the drivers and there were six of us in my car.  As I am driving down LA going 60mph on the expressway, all of a sudden this HUGE BEETLE about five or six inches long LANDED on my windshield and plastered itself there, hanging on for dear life! 

It stayed there the entire drive into Burbank, big bug eyes staring at us! 

We all squealed and laughted and basically decided (knowing of Nic's headboard and love of bugs) that it was Nic himself, morphed into a beetle, and that he wanted to hang with the Nicster women that night.

Maybe ya had to be there...............but it WAS a funny situation.......
