Thank you. It's the first time I join a fan club in my life but I like it! It's exciting to share ideas about one of my favourite films and actors with many other people all over the world!
Welcome to the forum Rosita! I hope you enjoy it here.
COA is my all time favorite Nic movie as well. Somehow it reached down and simply touched my soul.

I wanted to thank Nicolas Cage and all the staff of the film. It's wonderful and despite the plot, it's very realistic and shows how really life works, helps to see it as precious and invite people to feel deeply every moment of their life without regrets.... and it's a good therapy for sorrow. Thank you so much!!!
It was an artful movie with some wonderful camerwork, I liked the way it was directed it could have been a mess. I thought that the theme was well played out, a problem I had with it was....... the seduction of an Angel..... It was sort of touch and go with me but then I thought, well, what the heck, he looks like a good Angel, but wait!!!! Maybe he's not a good Angel, then what would we do? The next issue was...... what happened to the boyfriend? I began to feel sorry for the boyfriend and saw a theme of the discarded boyfriend. Then the Angel is drawn into the idea of leaving heaven and staying on earth only to lose the very thing that he gave heaven up for. They left alot unsaid, which was good, but the discussions between the Angels was sort of weird. Lots of thoughts that challenge our concepts of good/evil. I have a favorite author, whose books I thought would translate into films and one of her novels is called Wonderland. It is written by a Professor of Literature at Princeton, and her name is Joyce Carol Oats. If anyone can do a script for this book it would be incredible.
I noticed that much of his roles are poignant and leaves interpretations up to the viewer, which is great. I missed some of his stuff and want to catch up. I'm glad I found his movies at last.
i love city of angles.i like the part the nicolas cage do it and i almost cry at the end of the film i loved it so much its gr8 and nicolas cage was wonderfull.
I saw it yesterday firstly. It was so beautiful... I can't express through words how much I loved it. Despite of the fact I saw it in totally English - with no subtitle and no Hungarian vioce at all - I catched it. It really hit me. Maggie and Seth - really nice couple. I want a man like him!!! Sensitive but passionate...
The soundtracks were wonderful, too.
Now I could understand why this film said to be the first which came from mind if someone mentioned the name of Nicolas Cage. Worth to watch.
