if by art you mean GREAT ACTING YEAH-- sheesh i hate this money talk but i guess it's the most important thing in the world right--WRONG it doesnt matter or help us the fans- if it wasnt for us they wouldnt have any freakin money-- so i'll just stop giving him and others like him my few dollars till they make some real movies!!!!!!!!!!!
Since Ghost Rider did so well at the box office, maybe Nic can now do an art movie just for his pleasure of acting and not box office. I think agents like actors to do box office hits mostly, but actors prefer to act.
Maybe it wasn't that good. I dunno. I don't fancy for comics, I went to the movie because of Nicolas Cage and the choppers. It sounds childish, I realize it, but can't help it. At least I'm honest. It was fun. I couldn't help laughing all the time :) Anyway, I liked it. Nice way to spend 2 hours and get relaxed.

thanks for youre reply- i agree something seems a wee bit different- i just watched THE FAMILY MAN the other day and i was so moved AGAIN!!! ive seen it so many times and each time im amazed at his talent and skill to draw you into his world of emotions by his facial gesture the man can act without uttering a single word...I THInk it was GORE VERBINSKI that said the same thing- he directed THE WEATHERMAN.. WELL I DONT BELIEVE NIC IS A action figure- sorry i think he's a serious actor that unfortunately makes bad choices- and takes unnecesarry risks.. Again i say this of EVERY actor out there take roles that play into youre strenghts as a actor- instead of the opposite-- one actor who DO JUST THIS IS my #5 actor leonardo dicaprio- he's made about 19 movies and i actually really like about 14 of them!!!! where nicolas cage has made aboput 44 feature length films and i really like about 13--yikes--- depp has made about 33 movies and i like 20 of them.. but its not a numbers game because nicolas cage has the X-FACTOR that makes him so freakin unique... i agree the acting in THE WICKER MAN wasnt good but have you seen the original it's kinda supposed to be that way... I m hoping i'll enjoy ghost rider better when i get the dvd..... Yeah you heard me im buying the dvd...i actually hated house of 1000 corpses and nacho libre at the theatre -now i own the dvd'd and i love them- go figure... hmmmmmmmm maybe the tequilla NUMBED MY GOOD JUDGEMENT...
I don't agree I think Ghost Rider was good. THOUGH I have noticed that Nic does not seem like his old self in his more recent movies. There is just something that isn't the same as he used to be, i'm not sure what it is. I am Hoping that Next will be good. I KNOw Nic is an excellent actor and I think he did good in Ghost Rider, though its still not quite like his older movies. Ghost Rider was way better acting than Wicker Man. So I think Next his next movie out will be good acting. He was good in National Treasure and Matchstick Men. Nic has a certain style and spark in his movies and the last couple of them Wickerman and Trade Center did not show this. Ghost Rider was somewhat better, and he is good, especially when he transforms into the Ghost Rider. Though Nic really does need to get back more of his old energy in his acting style. I was watching some old Dvds recently and Nic was so energetic and shined so much in Red Rocks West and Face Off, cON aIR and Even Family Man. Thats what we love about him and his acting style his energy and uniqueness.
Id like to say that nicolas cage is my favorite actor- and has been for many a year--that aside here's my ghost rider review.. I went into this movie knowing that i'm not a 'popcorn movie fan' that is i prefer deeper and more feeling movies than comic book genre provide- but cage is my favorite and surely that would change right???- WRONG -I HATED ALMOST EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS WRETCHED MOVIE!!! now before you get youre pube's in a knot WAIT!!! genre hating aside- this was a corny, cheesy, silly ,over the top farse!!! I found myself wanting to bolt for the door-lol it's not that it's nicolas cages fault per say, or the other actors, but its the MATERIAL THEY HAD TO WORK WITH- IT SUCKED.. and all you cage lovers out there need to realize that EVERY ACTOR OUT THERE APPEARS IN BAD MOVIES.. they even know it.. I also noted that nick was in full ELVIS WORSHIP in this movie- from the cape and cane and silly arm gestures -to really laying into the elvis drawl- it's no secret he really likes the king but it was a little much in this movie- it was like elvis meets evil knievel meets marvel comics-lol hahahah .. but anyways i really didnt like any of the characters and could barely follow the storyline- that is because it was so over the top-- My wife who gives every movie a passing grade was even buzzing in my ear about the movie being so CORNY AND CHEESY.. i wish nicolas cage would stick to THE movies that play into his strenghts..this makes 3 bad movies in a row- BUT i'll tell you this -for me--THIS WAS HIS WORST MOVIES EVER!!!!!

for me nicolas cage isnt a ACTION HERO but instead a quirky everday kinda guy- with incredible acting skills and impressive facial acting skills..the man can make me cry with his expressions alone!!!! mad genius. well now i'll sit back and take the abuse from people who think every cage movie is AWESOME!!!! lol
